TRAINING RULES

Course Duration

~4 months (if 100% attendance)

Class Timings

Mon–Fri → Technical (1 / 1.5 / 2 hrs) + Communication (1 hr) +
Aptitude (1 hr).

Tests

Weekly test every Saturday. you should not skip this test. 
Last Saturday of the month is a holiday for students.

ID Card

Mandatory for entry into SLA Institute Premises (Offline/Hybrid).

Laptop

Bring daily. Attendance auto-marked in portal based on your engagement in class and your promptness in attending to tests, assignments and daily tasks completion.

Student Portal

Each student will receive portal access to attend daily classes, class notes, view instructions, submit assignments, complete daily tasks, and more.

Primary Contact

Save your counsellor’s name and number for any clarifications. In case your counsellor exits the organization, you will receive a WhatsApp update with your new counsellor’s details. Please save the new contact for assistance.
Incase if your counsellor misses your call, she will come back to you within 24 hours. If she has not reached you via call or WhatsApp within 24 hours, then pls escalate the issue to Manager.

SLA Onboard Group

Ensure that your counsellor has added you to the SLA Onboard WhatsApp group. This group provides updates on placements, holiday announcements, and other important information.
Batch wise WhatsApp group 
This group provide important updates regarding trainer absence, instructions about ID card, convocation, feedback link  and other required updates.

Communication & Aptitude Classes

Communication Training

  • 6 to 8-week syllabus cycle with a mock test at the end of each cycle.
  • If cleared students can focus on Aptitude & Technical training.
  • If not cleared students continue in the Communication batch until mock is cleared.
  • New topic every Monday.  New joiners can enter the batch only on Mondays.

Aptitude Training

  • 15-week syllabus, covering 1 major topic each week with multiple examples.
  • After 15 topics, the cycle restarts.
  • New topic every Monday.
  • New joiners can enter the batch only on Mondays.

Attendance Policy 
Remember Frequent leaves take you farther from your IT career dream. 100% attendance alone will help you achieve your dream!

  • Leaves must be informed to the Technical Trainer in advance. However, to qualify for placement support learning portal in progress % should be 100% 


  • If unwell → attend the online session after informing Technical Trainer, to maintain continuity. Saturday Tests and backup sessions if any to be attended mandatory. 

  • Attendance Defaulters! Re-entry is allowed only once after meeting the Manager with a written commitment to attendance. After getting signed from Manager, show the letter to Student coordinator to reinstate you back into the batch and handover the letter to Technical Trainer to allow you into the class.

  • 100% attendance is advisable for Technical, Communication, and Aptitude classes.

  • 3 consecutive days of uninformed absence immediate removal from the batch.

  • Missed classes will not be compensated — stay consistent to avoid gaps in learning.

  • Training Mode Policy:
      • Offline students → may attend online if unwell after informing the Trainer
      • Online students → cannot attend offline sessions. 

    Learning Beyond the Classroom

    Value-Added Events

    SLA holds Saturday sessions - hackathons, codeathons, guest lectures, alumni talks and industry expert talks - to give hands-on exposure.
    These events build technical skills, problem-solving ability and industry awareness. 
    Attendance is expected, as participation boosts learning outcomes and placement readiness.

    Mock Interviews

    Mock interviews are conducted every day, every week by Training Manager to facilitate Placements. Approach your Technical Trainer for mock slot booking.
    Try to attend mock with Training Manager after every module. Based on Feedback attend remock if asked to. The more the mocks you attend, the more the chance to get placed during onboard itself.

    PLACEMENT RULES

    Criteria for Placement Support

    • Eligibility: 100% course completion+ 100% in progress%+ Clearance of Final Technical Mock, Communication Mock, Aptitude Mock
      Only if the above attributes are ticked in CRM, Student will be automatically moved to Placements Portal.
    • Stay in Chennai after training (for interviews).
    • Be active in groups & respond quickly.
    • SLA does not guarantee job, WFH, salary or location. We provide unlimited interview chances. We do not support Proxy Interview and Back door Jobs.
    • Onboard Interviews: Allowed only after full fee payment.

    FEE POLICY

    Fee Payment Schedule & Access Policy

    • One-time: 100% before batch allocation.
    • Instalment: 50% before batch start date + 50% within 20 days of batch start date
    • Payment Delay = removal from class & portal access shall be revoked.

    FINANCIAL & ETHICAL RULES

    Transparent Fees & Anti-Corruption Policy

    • No hidden charges, no money for placements.
    • Don’t lend/borrow inside SLA.
    • No bribes / backdoor jobs.

    Not a Complaint

    Batch timings or trainer changes are operational and not considered complaints.

    Positive Approach

    Feel free to share issues directly with the given numbers based on the nature of issue / concern instead of complaining to others which will in no way give you a solution.
    Genuine concerns will always be supported.
